The Traveler Atlas

The Society is always seeking to serve the needs of its many important members. Nothing is so needful for the travelling VIP as up-to-date astronomical data. With that in mind, we are very proud to announce a major revision of The Traveller Atlas.

New Updates to the Traveller Atlas

Daniel Ward, creator of the wonderful TAS benefit The Atlas of Known Space, is performing upgrades to the project that will enrich, expand and improve this great resource for our members. Service interruptions may occur, but the end result will be a better and more reliable Atlas for you!

25th Anniversary Party at Medieval Starship

Jay LaRosee of Medieval Starship in O'Fallon, Illinois has just announced that Marc and Darlene Miller will be visiting his shop on Saturday, July 13th for a Traveller 25th anniversary book signing and a photo session under the old GDW sign. Jay has a collection of memorabilia from Traveller's early days displayed in his store, which is just east of St. Louis. On display are original art works from book and game covers, some rare promotional items and, as mentioned above, the original sign that hung above the first Game Designers' Workshop door in Normal, IL. JTAS Collector Reprints Published

Today Marc Miller received the first of the two Classic Traveller reprint volumes that contain the Journal of the Travellers' Aid Society. Volume 1 has the earliest issues, numbers 1 through 12. On Saturday, May 4th he will have Volume 2 with issues 13 through 24. Marc is going to be busy filling he pre-publish orders over the next few days. Gateway University Library

A new membership benefit has been added for TAS-Net members! Our affiliation with The Eaglestone University now allows our members full access to the Gateway University Library. Unlimited use is free to members.

The Eaglestone Collection

We have been making some repairs and updates to The Eaglestone University on TAS-Net. In so doing, it came to light that there are several headings in the Burrito Files that are empty. All members are invited to comb their NPC databases and make submissions to this peanut gallery.

Announce Your Web Site or Your Game

The TAS-Net discussion forum now has two new categories; one where you can post the URL to your Traveller web site and another for you to list your campaign info. Both are forums of the Open Traveller Discussion. All are welcome to post their info or to give feedback on the posted web sites.

Site Search Feature Added

Since we understand the tediousness of poking around when one knows what one is about, TAS-Net has added a premium search feature. Accessed from the bottom of TAS-Net Home, the process is as simple as jotting in a word. As an added bonus, a detailed and fully automatic site tree with three steps of depth has been added, as well.

TNS Links Completed

TAS-Net regrets the problems that plagued the TNS archive and feedback form. Your complaints reached the highest levels in the organization and those responsible have been sacked. We also took this opportunity to premier our new navigation console, seen above.
